Chips and Dip

(DISCLAIMER: I’m not going to try and convince you this one is “healthy”. I will however explain why I think it’s “healthier” than other versions. But, you decide for yourself. Okie dokie?)

Now, first things first.

Pork Rinds.

Pork rinds are an acquired taste in my opinion much like Diet Coke, Kimchi and Benjamin Cumberbatch.

What are they anyways?

Pork rinds are pigskin. They are high in protein, and carb-free. They can also be high in unhealthy fats depending on what they are fried in. Personally, I like these, click here.

Epic baked pork rinds have a VERY short list of ingredients: pork skin, pork fat, salt.

They are carb-free, paleo, gluten free, and great with salsa! But. BUT, they are even better with this warm, cheesy, gooey indulgence…

This stuff is THE BOMB. For real. It’s sooooooo good. Totally worth the extra $3.

You can keep a container stored back in your fridge to pull out during spontaneous company or game days or Tuesday nights.

Simply warm in the microwave and dip! So easy! Someone else has done all the work for you.

If you are counting carbs, it’s 1 carb per serving. Trust me, this is worth the calories.

Ingredients:

(1) bag Epic Baked Pork Rinds

(1) tub Palmetto Cheese with Bacon

Put cheese in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave at 30 second intervals until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with a side of Pork Rinds for dipping.

If you must be fancy, top with diced tomatoes, parsley, green onion, mushrooms…anything that suits your fancy.

There’s no end to what you can serve it with.

Yum!

Blessings,

Shanna
